Web Design Developer with 5 years experience

We´re looking for a talented web designer/developer that can translate client requirements into modern standards-compliant data-driven websites. Light programming skills in ASP VbScript, ASP.NET C#, PHP, and javascript will definitely be helpful. Knowledge of web application development and the ability to manage a complex web project, interacting with the client and our programming team will be essential. Additionally, working knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL will also be required. The ability to make minor programming fixes or quick updates will be a significant plus.

The perfect person will possess the following talents and skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite´s Photoshop, and Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
  • You should know how to code cleanly with semantic html - using CSS/W3C compliant code.
  • You should be able to interact with our programming team, outlining project programming requirements, and be able to test & debug after programming is complete.
  • You should be familiar with usability standards in web design.
  • You should be aware of and understand Search Engine Optimization basic techniques, incorporating essential SEO fundamentals when you´re building web pages.
  • Familiarity with or interest in learning some basic programming in ASP, .NET, PHP and javascript is considered a plus. As is knowledge of database driven site development.
  • You´ll be able to interact with clients and interpret their needs and develop web design solutions that accomplish their goals.

So what´s the pay and benefits?

Salary is dependent on your experience and talent. However, we will say we offer paid vacation time, personal days, full medical benefits, and other perks. Of course, we´ll happily answer additional questions when you come in to interview.

About the jldcreative atmosphere

jldcreative is a small, passionate group of designers that strive to fortify our designs with sound strategic marketing. We avoid creating fanciful designs - instead we develop design solutions that help grow sales and improve client businesses.

Admittedly, it can be challenging. You´ll need to interact with clients, listen to their requests, and then filter their input so that your final design both meets their requirements and maintains consistency with brand and/or marketing goals.

The atmosphere is easy-going, friendly, and casual with a great sense of camaraderie interspersed with furious onslaughts of work. We´ll admit it to you now...there will be some late nights....but on the other end there´s flexibility and some fun times, like movie days and trips to Great Adventure. But all on the mutual understanding that the work must get done.

Oh, there is one other thing....if you´re allergic to cats....then you might want to look elsewhere. Three large fuzz-butted cats live in our office. Two were born here, one´s the mom. So basically they´ve got seniority. I guess we´re trying to say, you should be an animal friendly person. Not that it will count against you if you´re not...but when Stinky the cat sits on your keyboard in the middle of a rush project, it will help.
