Popular Science and Google collaborate to put all old issues online

Popsci archives online

In a moment of genius, Popular Science Magazine and Google have collaborated to put all their old issues online for free! 137 years of invention and science are now searchable and easily read online. I think this is brilliant! And nerdly cool!

First, this is a wonderful resource for students and the general public. To have a trove of information and a digest of science for the past 137 years available for free online is astounding. For PopSci to do this is an incredible gesture of goodwill and a boon for humanity. I can only imagine how this might inspire the next Einstein or Edison.

Science is the bedrock of our modern civilization and it's been taking a beating as of late. I hope this new online tool will help to get more young people interested in science. I know I'll be wasting time trolling around the archive. Who doesn't want to read about what was cutting-edge science 20, 30, 50, 100 years ago. And to read it as it was printed - that'll be interesting... to see the ads and articles from days past.

To start experiencing our past scientific marvels, start browsing PopSci Archives
