Oren Lavie Expresses Emotion with Stop Motion

You know what is awesome? Stop motion... aka frame-by-frame animation. The music video, Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie, was shot using roughly 3225 still photos for the entire thing, with a camera hanging from the ceiling. It took about 4 weeks to create the concept for the video with a computer generated storyboard and 3D dummies for the characters.
The amount of time it took to shoot the actual video: 2 days. Only 2 days. If you are looking to shoot a cheap[er], yet impressive video/film (besides the Ok Go! video Casey had blogged about), you cannot go wrong with stop motion. It's fun, it's striking and it takes a sufficient amount of imagination and creativity...which again, leads back to the whole fun aspect. Gumby, Coraline, the classic Rudolph/Christmas specials: all great examples. Check out the music video:
