Location, Location, Design Inspiration
By: Christina Smith
One of my guilty pleasures is searching real estate sites for houses. Not because I want to buy a house. I can barely afford a new pair of shoes, let alone dish out a lump sum of money for a down payment on a house. Designers find inspiration from different sources. Some from taking a walk down the street, others from admiring award-winning designs in Print magazine. Personally, I find looking at the interior design of houses or apartments to be incredibly inspiring. Just the other day, as I was surfing the web, I came across a site I’d never seen before, ApartmentTherapy.com. As I was looking at the interior design of different apartments, I saw Apartment Therapy was sponsoring a contest for the smallest, coolest home. Below are images of the apartment I judged to be the very best from the “Teeny Tiny” category. I’ve also posted a link to the contest. Now it’s your turn to vote!
