Are You a Design Geek?
By: Christina Smith
Admit it. If you are a designer, you probably qualify as someone we call a “design geek”. Don’t know what I mean? Crestock.com came up with a list of 23 signs to help you determine whether or not you are, in fact, a “design geek”. I definitely nodded my head in agreement to most, laughed at a few, and wanted to cry when I realized I could relate to the majority of them. I’m definitely a design geek. Below are a few I thought were the best. You can read the rest on
Crestock.com or check out the “
Original 23 Signs You’re Becoming a Design Geek” here. Both lists are very entertaining!
- Every now and then you go through a ‘herbal tea’ phase to try and reduce your dependence to coffee, but you always go back to the inky demon eventually.
- Sleep and nighttime are no longer irrevocably linked.
- When getting up, you wish you had a healing brush/patch tool for those unsightly blemishes and under eye luggage.
- You're sitting in the movie theater watching the movie titles, shaking your head at how badly they're kerned.
- You know that, by default, if three designs are shown to a client, your least favorite will be chosen - or any combination of worst components of each.
- You also know that if you ask for more copy it will be sent as a JPG; If you ask for images they will be sent as PowerPoint presentations; if you ask for a vector logo, it'll come in the form of a GIF – from their website.
