If you like optical illusions, then check out the work of Alexa Meade. Her paintings look like the standard portraits and still-life's, similar to many artists, but they are certainly unique in their own way. Look closely...examine the hair in her portraits. Pretty realistic, right? Well, that's because they are, in fact, real. This is not acrylic on canvas; it is acrylic on flesh. It's a pretty neat twist on art, if you ask me. Don't even think about buying your favorite piece, unless you are looking for a new roommate.
