Yahoo! Bus Stop Derby

Starting back in November, the residents of San Francisco got entertainment at their local bus stops in the form of large touch-screen games they could participate in. In these games, put in place by Yahoo! in an effort to drum up buzz about their Mobile Aps, these bored bus stop patrons compete against other neighborhoods and rack up points. The reward...bragging rights and a block party concert by OK Go. Though I don't think they needed to include a prize at the end of the day. I think it's brilliant that they placed these entertaining advertisements in the perfect place... A place where people are waiting with nothing better to do, people would be playing these with a prize or without, but I suppose a prize is all in good faith.In the end though those who have gotten wrapped up in the competition can track the progress on the website where they can download Yahoo!'s mobile aps.The contest ends January 28, 2011 so if you live in the area and want to check it out, grab a pocket full of change and grab a bus.
