The Behance Network is proven effective!
By Lacey Ackerman
Whether you're a fine artist, an industrial designer, or a graphic designer like myself, you have probably uploaded your work to at least one of the provided online portfolio platforms. There are various options, such as deviantART, Coroflot and Krop. However, the portfolio platform that I found the most useful is the Behance Network.
The Behance Network is a platform for all creative professionals. On BehanceNetwork.net, you have the ability to upload your projects to create a visually attractive online portfolio. There are many features Behance has that I find appealing.
Unlimited Projects
Within many other portfolio platforms, you are confined to a certain amount of artwork unless you pay the fee to upgrade. With Behance, there is an unlimited amount, plus it can be in the form of text, image, video or audio.
Linked to Social Networking
You are able to promote your work as often as you like through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more.
Exposure
Behance is a very popular tool for the creative community. Millions visit every month, which means you'll be exposed to the public and others within your industry. For example, it was through Behance that someone recognized my artwork and mentioned it in 54 Unique Pocket Folder and Office Stationery designs! <-- See? Proven to be effective!
ProSite
Pay a small monthly fee for this user friendly and customizable tool, which helps build your actual portfolio website. The projects you've uploaded on your Behance profile will automatically sync to ProSite, so there is no need to re-upload any artwork. You will have all the benefits of your own customized website, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the domain of your choice, import your blog, giving the site an appearance of your own personal identity.
E-Commerce
Create your own store by integrating e-commerce to sell your desired artwork.
The Behance Network and ProSite are perfect for anyone who wants to quickly get their online portfolio up and running or anyone who isn't so efficient with HTML. It's worth checking out.
