Placekitten.com is cute and useful

By William Levins

A website that serves out kitten pictures that are easy to integrate into development websites Placekitten.com is purrrrrfect.

This is probably one of the funniest and amusingly useful sites I've stumbled across. The site is aimed strictly at cat loving web developers I suppose. Something that's right up our alley here at jldcreative (see our office cats). To use the site simply follow their easy instructions:
A quick and simple service for getting pictures of kittens for use as placeholders in your designs or code. Just put your image size (width & height) after our URL and you'll get a placeholder.

Like this: http://placekitten.com/200/300
or: http://placekitten.com/g/200/300
Including cute kitten images in your next web development project, or even on your blog, or in an email couldn't be simpler. I'm not sure how or if the developers will monetize this service, but it'll get used around here I'm sure. After all, we generally use images of our office cats for our test images - so why not cute kittens from placekitten.com too.

There's even a placekitten jQuery function that can change all your existing images to cute, fuzzy kitten pictures.
