The goal of the competition by Landsnet, Iceland national power transmissions company, was to find new ideas in appearances for 220kV high voltage towers and lines. From the entries they chose the submission "Land of Giants", submitted by Choi + Shine Architects. It's beautiful and it makes me wish that here in America we were more concerned with how even the most utilitarian of things will look against the landscape. I wish we did more things like this.
