American Express helps small business recognize the value of branding and marketing

I stumbled upon American Express Open's Project RE:Brand and was very happy. Branding is necessary in today's busy world. And small businesses are not exempt. In fact, they need to be more efficient at branding. But moreover, what made me smile is that Project RE:Brand helps to explain that branding is a process. Agencies must learn the client's business and work with the client to shape the message and the graphics. Branding is the experience of a customer with a company and it's products - it's not simply making things look pretty.
So kudos to American Express for helping to build awareness and to help small businesses grow and expand. And to elevate my chosen profession and to demonstrate that creatives go through a well thought out process when working with clients.
