A Little Show of Appreciation

How nice was it today when to my surprise a client sent flowers to show appreciation for some late nights and super tight deadlines? Does that happen anymore or is it considered wrong/not PC to give tokens of appreciation when people go above and beyond between client & vendor?
I have to tell you something as simple as flowers made me feel really nice and made it feel that all those long nights and quick turnarounds, causing me to get burned out just went away and I could do it all again...
I thought it was nice...I wanted to share.
