I like the color, but then again I'm a girl, so I think I'm gender required to like pink. I'm not sure it will help anyone face the world and troubles with verve and vigor, but it does provide for an upbeat, energetic and perhaps encouraging color palette.

Pantone is usually good at predicting color trends...or do they inspire them with their predictions? I guess we'll never know. It's sort of a Schrödinger's cat kind of thing - where the act of measurement or in this case the prediction of the year's "hot color" affects the outcome. Fortunately in Pantone's color entanglement trend there's no risk of a dead cat and you don't have to suffer a headache trying to think about the absurdity - all you have to do is decide if you like pink this year.
