John Levins, Jr.

John founded the agency nearly a quarter-century ago and kept it going all the years since by serving up good work that works for clients. Following a stint in the Air Force, John started out as an art teacher. But he was lured away by an entrepreneurial spirit and, in the workplace, began practicing what he had preached in the classroom. He got his professional start in graphics and printing with Mainline Graphic Arts, where he was a creatiave artist, technical illustrator and production coordinator.

John subsequently broadened his experience by moving over to Ray Christy Enterprises as creative director. Then in 1978, John and two partners took the big leap by opening Trinex Design. Times were good, and eventually in 1982, John bought out his partners deciding to go it alone, in a manner of speaking.

With such an eclectic background in the business, John knows all the tricks and then some. He can dazzle with his knowledge of the science as well as the art of design and production, but he never doescontent, instead, to let the work speak for him. Although his award list could fill a book, achieving results for clients is the award he´s proudest of.

John always sticks to basics, employing a four-step approach to working successfully with clients: Ask questions. And listen, listen, listen. It is this work ethic that has kept him on course over the years. Even today he prides himself in the ability to listen to a client problem, analyze it and craft a strategically sound solution. Translate the latter to mean it can achieve the clients goal and it can be produced on time, within budget.
Thats what makes him so good at getting a client the clients dollars worth. Which, of course, endears him to all our clients.
