Brian VanArsdale

A long time Apple fan-boy (like most of us) Brian actually worked for Apple in New York writing software and teaching classes. During this time, he worked as a Filemaker Pro developer too, specializing in forcing it to interact with PHP, external data sources, and pushing it to the limits. Eventually his time at Apple ended but Brian carries this experience with him and applies lessons learned to all web and application development projects.
 
Today, Brian spends most of his time nose deep in PHP & MySQL using the CodeIgnitor application framework. This open source application framework, speeds development time and allows him to concentrate more on reliability and user interaction design.
 
When Brian isn’t immersed in his geeky pursuits you’ll find him enjoying his other passion, Jazz music. Actually, he majored in music and has a masters in jazz performance from the Eastman School of Music. He performs and records with his trio, quartet, and quintet and he’s released three albums, all available on iTunes.
