Material Culture's Online Shopping Galleries Launch
After redesigning Material Cutlure's website, jldcreative began the
long process of developing an ecommerce strategy for this unique
retailer. The challenge, how to sell one-of-a-kind items, which would be
equally at home in an art gallery or museum, but instead found their
way into Material Culture's store and onto their website.
Many of the items for sale have worldly roots, a rich heritage,
and often a long legacy. The items are truly unique and capturing their
essence and devising how to catalog and present the menagerie was a
challenge. And of course, there's a healthy amount of daily turn-over
and acquisition of new pieces - so the site had to accommodate quick
changes.
Fortunately, the challenge was met. And if you live close enough, and have visited the Material Culture store
in Philadelphia - you'll see the voyage of discovery such a visit
affords can be found online also. The site will continue to expand and
grow and will surely become a common destination for those inclined to
immerse themselves in a little bit of history, and a little bit of
material culture.
